Kings Award for Voluntary Service

Writer's picture: Brenda ButlerBrenda Butler

We absolutely delighted to share the news that Maidenhead Lions Club have been honoured with a nomination for this prestigious award in this, our 50th year of helping others. It was previously the Queens Award, but King Charles III has adopted it and will continue with honouring many diverse voluntary groups each year.

3 Lions were invited along to a nominees reception held in early March by the Lord Lieutenant of Berkshire, Mr James Puxley, at South Hill Park in Bracknell, were we met the other 12 organisations in the running.

Here is the certificate & also the invitation.

We will hear whether we have been honoured with an award on the Kings Birthday in November. Fingers crossed!
