We launched our PLatinum awards scheme on Friday 11th February. Maidenhead Lions have decided to mark our amazing Queens 70 years on the throne, by offering 70 grants of up to £250 to local (in SL6 post code) organsiations & clubs. The power of social media! Within 2 hours of posting the awards scheme onto our Face Book page, requests for forms were already beginning to arrive!
As of 10am on Monday 14th February, we have already considered & approved grants to Chattertots, Windsor Horse Rangers, Mens Matters, Maidenhead Sea Cadets, Maidenhead Festival and 9th Maidenhead Brownies. There are more under consideration now. Pictured here are some of the Sea Cadets, who help us every year with our Duck Derby on Thames at Ray Mill Island.
