Winter Fuel Project -
GIVE THE WARMTH

Along with many other Lions clubs, Maidenhead Lions are aware that there are a lot of local low-income families who are struggling to pay their fuel bills. Some families will have to choose between heating their home and feeding their family. Especially with escalating fuel costs at the moment.

Maidenhead Lions are aware of local low income families who are struggling to pay their fuel bills. Maidenhead Lions Club are launching their annual appeal for money to be used to help local people in need with their fuel costs.  Some families have to choose between heating their home and feeding their family.

Lions ‘Give The Warmth’ scheme is run in conjunction with Citizens Advice to help local people who are suffering from shortage of money to pay their fuel bills. We are asking residents for donations, perhaps their government Winter Fuel Payment, or any amount no matter how large or small. Lions will use these donations to pay energy companies directly on behalf of people in need as identified by Citizens Advice in Maidenhead.

How can you help?

Are you a pensioner who receives the Annual Government Fuel allowance? Perhaps you can afford to donate some or all of it to be used to help local low-income families? This is the place to do this.

Or perhaps you are not a pensioner, but can afford to make a donation, however large or small, to help with this very worthwhile cause? This is where you can do this.

We are working closely with our local Citizens Advice who will identify local people who are struggling to pay their fuel bills. We will provide top-up cards or pay the suppliers direct.

Our thanks to the Shanly Trust for their support of the Maidenhead Lions Winter Fuel Project - GIVE THE WARMTH
